Job description

About KIRA

Our mission is to make money smart, reliable and within reach for everyone.

In 2019, we built the first mobile-first, insurance platform, enabling insurance to be accessible online by millions in the region. Today, it's the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia.

Today, we are expanding ways to help people in Asia and it includes spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and more. Our objective is to build tools that will help people get more from their money and at ease and self reliance, become an expert. We believe AI will help us achieve this in our generation.

We are looking for the most talented and driven people we can find. We are looking for people who work for their passion, not counting hours. Who loves building great next-generation products, not status quo. Who cares about redefining how everyone around us can get the best financial applications, not for an exclusive few.

We have teams working around the world, with over 20 nationalities and growing from our offices and remotely. Join us and build a better future.

If you're this person, we'd love to talk to you.

The Role

We are looking for high-ownership generalists to join the Founder's Office for BJAK's finance super app expansion. This role is for builders who can take on ambiguous business problems, move fast across functions and help launch new financial products, markets, licences and partnerships.

What You'll Own

Drive zero-to-one strategic projects for the finance super app.

Support licensing, market entry, partner acquisition, office setup, hiring and operating plans.

Research markets, competitors, regulations, partners and business models.

Turn founder-level ideas into structured plans, owners, timelines and next actions.

Work across product, legal, compliance, finance, hiring, operations and country teams.

Build trackers, briefs, memos, operating documents and execution rhythms.

Own urgent business problems until they are solved.

What We're Looking For

Strong generalist with high ownership, strong writing and sharp business judgement.

Able to learn new industries, regulations and markets quickly.

Comfortable working on licensing, partnerships, operations, market research and execution.

Can turn messy inputs into clear plans and follow-through.

Fast, resourceful and calm under pressure.

Strong English communication and structured thinking.

Experience in startups, consulting, fintech, strategy, operations, investing or founder-led environments is a strong advantage.

The Kind of Builder We Want

Finds a way without waiting for a full playbook.

Can work with senior leaders and still do hands-on execution.

Writes clearly, thinks practically and follows up relentlessly. Handles ambiguity without creating drama.

Cares about real outcomes, not looking important.

This Role Is Not For

People who only want strategy decks.

Candidates who need fixed job scope and predictable tasks.

People who avoid follow-up, admin details or operational work.

Those who cannot write clearly or move fast.

People who want title/status more than responsibility.

Location

This role is remote, but candidates must be based in US. We are hiring specifically for this market, so applicants should already be based in US.

Language

English is our main working language across global teams. Strong English communication is required.
