Founding Electrical Engineer- New Space/Energy- Southern California
Seeking a Founding Electrical Engineer to lead the full lifecycle development of advanced hardware systems, from architecture and design through testing, integration, and deployment. This role will establish core electrical engineering processes and standards while working closely with a multidisciplinary team on cutting-edge energy and aerospace technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and test advanced electronic and power electronic systems
* Own end-to-end hardware development, including requirements, schematics, prototyping, verification, and iteration
* Lead experimental testing and hardware validation efforts
* Drive integration across multiple engineering disciplines
* Establish engineering best practices, processes, and technical standards
Qualifications
* 8+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
* Strong hands-on expertise in power electronics
* Proven ownership of complex hardware development programs
* Experience planning and executing experimental test campaigns
* Ability to thrive in fast-paced, highly technical environments
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Preferred Experience
* Aerospace, advanced energy, fusion, or other deep-tech industries
* Magnetic systems or superconducting technologies
* Space-qualified hardware and component qualification processes
* Embedded controls for power electronics systems
