Job description
Dragonfly is a crypto-native Venture Capital and research firm with $4B+ in assets under management and 160+ portfolio companies (see list). Our Talent team works to support the recruiting efforts of the companies within our portfolio by connecting them with talented potential candidates.
One of our portfolio companies is hiring a Founding Engineer to lead development on a consumer crypto app that’s already live with meaningful traction. This is not a listing for an internal role at Dragonfly.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of software engineering experience
1+ years as a tech lead or Engineering Manager
Experience owning core systems or features in high-growth or early-stage environments
Strong product instincts, especially around UX and user onboarding
Comfort working across the stack (TypeScript, React, Next.js, APIs, infra, etc.)
Bonus: Experience in consumer crypto, gaming, or embedded SDKs
About The Role
You’ll join as the first engineering hire at a live, crypto-native product with a growing user base and significant protocol volume.
You’ll lead development across the core app, SDKs, and third-party integrations. This includes building seamless web experiences, scaling across chains and platforms (including wallets and Telegram), and enabling developers to build on top of the protocol.
You’ll work directly with the founding team on product, architecture, and roadmap.
Other Roles We’re Hiring For
If this role isn’t the right fit, we’re also hiring engineers across the portfolio, especially those interested in crypto infrastructure, developer tools, or zero-to-one product builds. Many of our portfolio companies are looking for founding or early-stage engineers ready to ship and own core systems.
Process
We’ll confidentially match you with portfolio companies aligned with your background, skill set, and interests. If mutual interest exists between you and a team, we’ll facilitate a warm introduction.
If there isn’t a match today, we’ll keep you top of mind for future opportunities.
Our portfolio companies are globally distributed, hiring for remote, hybrid, and in-person roles worldwide. They’re building across the entire crypto ecosystem, including DeFi, CeFi, infrastructure, L1s and L2s, creator/consumer applications, NFTs, ZK, and more. All candidate submissions are strictly confidential.
Submit your information below, and we’ll be in touch if there’s a potential fit.
