Founding General Manager / Head Coach — ZONE (Opening January 2027)
Location: Mill Valley, CA (on-site)
Job Type: Full-time, W-2
Pay: $60,000 to $75,000 base + PT revenue share
Start: ahead of January 1, 2027 opening
ZONE is a new high-intensity strength studio opening in Marin. We're hiring one founding leader who owns both sides: General Manager (sales, retention, facility, front-of-house, scheduling) and Head Coach (~30 hours/week on the floor, coaching standards, programming partnership with founders).
What you'll own
~30 hours/week coaching on the floor
Membership sales and growth
Retention and hospitality standard
Facility and front-of-house operations
Scheduling and day-to-day studio ops
Programming partnership + coaching standards as the team grows
Who this is for
A true boutique-fitness player-coach. You've run ops or GM'd / head-coach'd a studio and you can still hold a heavy weekly class load. Barry's / SoulCycle / F45 / Equinox / BFT / independent boutique backgrounds welcome.
Minimums
PT cert (NASM, NSCA, ACE, ACSM) or equivalent + willing to certify in 90 days
5+ years coaching with ability to coach ~30 hrs/week
2+ years studio ops / GM / head coach with commercial ownership
Comfortable with membership sales and retention
