Job description
Foundry Utility WorkerWe are seeking a Foundry Utility Worker to support daily foundry operations through a variety of production, material handling, grinding, and cleaning tasks. This role supports manufacturing operations by following standard procedures and safety guidelines while assisting with equipment setup, material movement, and foundry production processes.Job ResponsibilitiesGrind large and small castings using hand and power toolsOperate band saws, shot blast equipment, forklifts, payloaders, and power vac equipmentPour molds and assist with foundry production activitiesTransport materials, castings, and equipment throughout the facilityAssist molders with machine setup and area cleanupRepair pouring ladles and support general foundry maintenance tasksDetect and report defective materials or questionable parts to supervisionSort, clean, and move castings and raw materials as neededMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and equipmentFollow all safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelinesPerform additional duties as assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredManufacturing or foundry experience preferredPrior grinding experience is a plus, but training is available for entry-level candidatesAbility to use fixed gauges and follow written/verbal instructionsAbility to perform physically demanding work, including lifting over 50 lbs. occasionallyAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsComfortable working in high-temperature industrial environments with noise and dust exposureStrong attention to safety, reliability, and teamworkAbility to concentrate and remain productive for extended periods during repetitive tasksBenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Vacation and HolidaysMedical Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Life and Disability InsuranceWellness ProgramPaid Bereavement LeaveEducational Reimbursement ProgramVoluntary Insurance OptionsTraining and Development ProgramsAll offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
