Since its founding in 1937, Krispy Kremeâs focus has remained the same - making fresh doughnuts using our founderâs original recipe. The brandâs iconic Hot Light lets consumers know when doughnuts are being made in the shop so they can stop in and enjoy them hot, right off the line.Krispy Kremeâs FP&A Analyst - Fresh Logistics & DFD partners with Operations, Logistics, and DFD teams to provide financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis for the end-to-end distribution of freshly made doughnuts from production facilities to fresh shops and DFD locations. This role focuses on the economics of time-sensitive, high-frequency distribution and direct fulfillment, ensuring cost efficiency, service reliability, and scalable growth while maintaining product freshness and quality standards.A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:Financial Planning & AnalysisDevelop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans for Logistics and DFD operationsAnalyze monthly actuals vs. budget/forecast and provide clear explanations of key variancesSupport monthly close activities, including accruals for transportation, delivery labor, and distribution costsBuild financial models to evaluate volume growth, route density, delivery frequency and capacity utilization.Logistics & DFD Business SupportPartner closely with Production, Logistics, Operations, and DFD teams to understand the cost and service drivers of fresh doughnut distributionAnalyze costs associated with routes, including fleet, fuel, labor, maintenance, and third-party delivery servicesAssess the financial impact of freshness requirements, service levels, and delivery timing on overall cost-to-serveSupport DFD initiatives through unit economics and cost-to-serve analysis at door, customer and channel levelsEvaluate the scalability and profitability of new DFD location expansions from a distribution cost perspectiveReporting & InsightsPrepare recurring and ad-hoc reporting for leadership on fresh logistics and DFD performanceDevelop and monitor KPIs such as cost per route, cost per delivery, cost per dozen, delivery frequency efficiency, and fulfillment marginIdentify cost trends, capacity constraints, and efficiency opportunities while maintaining service standardsTranslate operational data into clear financial insights and actionable recommendationsProcess Improvement & ControlsImprove forecasting accuracy for fresh logistics volumes, routes, and delivery costsHelp standardize methodologies for tracking and allocating of distribution costs across shops and DFD locationsSupport continuous improvement initiatives and track financial benefits from route optimization, productivity, and cost-reduction effortsYOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS: Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field2+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or analytical rolesStrong financial modeling and analytical skillsAdvanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools a plusAbility to communicate financial insights to operational partnersExperience working with ERP and operational data systemsExperience supporting fresh food, QSR, bakery, or time-sensitive distribution environments preferredFamiliarity with route-based distribution, last-mile delivery, or company-owned fleet economics a plusStrong business partnering and cross-functional collaboration skillsDetail-oriented with the ability to balance cost, service, and freshness requirementsProactive, analytical, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the employees assigned to this job and are not the official job description for the position.
