Position: On-Site Source Inspector
Industry: Aerospace - Supplier
Key Responsibilities:
Perform source inspection of precision machined components at supplier facilities before shipment.
Review engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and customer requirements.
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI), in-process, and final inspections per AS9102 requirements.
Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMM reports, etc.).
Ensure compliance with AS9100, quality requirements, and purchase order specifications.
Review material certificates, process certifications, CoC, and inspection records for traceability.
Identify and document non-conformances (NCRs) and verify corrective actions.
Approve or reject parts for shipment and prepare detailed source inspection reports.
Coordinate with supplier quality, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve quality issues.
