Job description

Freight Forwarder – Ocean ImportAddison Group is partnering with a growing company in the logistics industry to identify a Freight Forwarder – Ocean Import to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a sharp, driven logistics professional looking to grow their career within a fast-paced and process-oriented environment.The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of freight forwarding experience, strong attention to detail, and experience working with CargoWise. This person should be comfortable managing multiple priorities, communicating with customers and vendors, and taking ownership of the import process from documentation through delivery.Responsibilities:Coordinate ocean import shipments from origin through final deliveryTrack and trace shipments using CargoWiseProcess ocean import documentation accurately and efficientlyCommunicate with customers, overseas colleagues, transportation vendors, warehouses, and trucking companiesCoordinate shipment delivery and resolve issues as they ariseReview, approve, and process freight invoices and credit notesAudit vendor invoices for accuracyProcess ocean freight payments and chargesMaintain familiarity with customer and vendor agreementsProvide timely shipment updates and maintain strong customer relationshipsEnsure all required documentation and processes are completed accurately and on scheduleCollaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient shipment movement and service deliveryQualifications:1–3 years of freight forwarding or related logistics experienceOcean import experience strongly preferredMinimum 1 year of CargoWise experience heavily preferredStrong understanding of freight forwarding and international logistics processesExperience with shipment tracking, documentation, billing, and vendor coordinationProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly detail-oriented with strong follow-throughAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentDriven, process-oriented, and eager to grow within the logistics industryMandarin or additional language skills are a plusEducation is openAdditional Details:This is a fully onsite opportunity with a collaborative team environment and a strong focus on accuracy, organization, and customer service.The ideal candidate will be a sharp junior-level logistics professional who is eager to take ownership of their work and continue developing their career in freight forwarding.Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
