Job description
Freight SpecialistWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Freight Specialist to support our shipping and logistics operations. This role is responsible for coordinating outgoing freight shipments, preparing shipping documentation, and ensuring compliance with shipping regulations. This is not a production role—all materials are prepackaged, and there is no direct product exposure.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and process domestic and/or international freight shipmentsCoordinate shipments with carriers and freight providersGenerate and maintain accurate shipping documentationEnsure shipments comply with applicable freight and hazmat regulationsTrack shipments and resolve shipping issues or discrepanciesMaintain organized shipping records and logsCommunicate with internal teams regarding shipping schedules and requirementsSupport general freight and logistics tasks as neededQualifications:General freight shipping experience preferredHazmat shipping experience is a plus but not required (training provided)Understanding of shipping regulations is helpful, especially for hazardous materialsComputer literate with basic proficiency in Excel and shipping software systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to follow complex procedures and regulations accuratelyGood communication and problem-solving skills
