Volunteer Opportunity: Friendly Companion Volunteer
Location: Clackamas County, OR
Commitment: In-Person Visits
Volunteer Role: Companion Volunteer
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable volunteer to provide companionship and social connection for an older adult residing in a care home setting.
The participant enjoys listening to music, sharing conversations, and connecting with others. A volunteer who enjoys spending time with older adults and building meaningful relationships would be an excellent match.
Volunteer Activities May Include:
Engaging in friendly conversation
Listening to and discussing music
Sharing stories and life experiences
Providing companionship and social interaction
Offering consistent visits to help reduce feelings of isolation
Volunteer Qualifications:
Friendly, patient, and empathetic
Comfortable visiting older adults in a residential care setting
Reliable and able to maintain a regular visit schedule
Complete Providence volunteer onboarding requirements
