Friendly visitor & Activity Companion
Location:
1603 S 269TH CT
Caring AFH
Des Moines, WA
Volunteer Setting:
In-Person and/or Virtual (Phone or GrandPad)
Volunteer Opportunity:
We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to provide social connection and companionship for an older adult living in an adult family home. This individual enjoys spending time with others and has previously enjoyed activities such as:
Playing cards
Arts and crafts
Friendly conversation
Shared leisure activities
Volunteer Duties:
Visit and provide companionship
Engage in simple games and activities
Support social engagement and reduce isolation
Participate virtually when in-person visits are not possible
Volunteer Traits Desired:
Friendly and dependable
Good listener
Patient and compassionate
Comfortable engaging with older adults
Time Commitment:
Flexible scheduling based on volunteer availability.
Priority Level: High
