Front Desk Medical SecretaryWe are seeking a motivated and efficient Front Desk Secretary to join our medical practice. As a Front Desk Medical Secretary, you will be responsible for managing a fast-paced front desk and providing exceptional customer service to our patients. Assisting with medical paperwork and answering questions via patient calls/emails/messages.Schedule will be Monday to Saturday Clinic Days. Must be able to travel to the following office locations:2029 First Ave. Suite 1A. Manhattan, NY 10029 (every week).26 Sherman Ave, Suite 1B. Carle Place, NY 11514 (twice a month).Language:Spanish (Preferred).English Required.The team member must:Have the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Have proficiency in email and electronic medical record systems.Be flexible in scheduling patients.Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Be professional.Office dress code is formal and professional.Must help with daily office cleanup.Must be able to commute consistently.Responsibilities/Requirements:Arriving 30 minutes before the clinic opens (8:30 AM).Scanning and sorting mail daily.Greeting patients and visitors, checking them in and out, and ensuring they are directed to the correct healthcare provider.Managing patient records using our electronic medical record system.Managing patient referrals and coordinating care with other healthcare providers.Scheduling future/follow-up appointments based on patient needs.Checking/correcting insurance information.Working with the back office team for insurance and billing questions.Calling patients who have missed appointments to reschedule.Completing required paperwork for patients using physician reports.Ensuring medical records/demographics are complete for patients prior to their visits.Obtaining insurance information when missing and helping back off team with patient communication.Maintaining a clean and positive work environment.
