Job description
A Day in the Life:
As a Front-End Team Member, your day is centered around creating a smooth and positive checkout experience for customers. You’re often the final stop before customers head home, helping complete their purchase accurately while keeping interactions friendly and efficient. Whether scanning items, bagging groceries, or answering questions, your role helps ensure each visit ends on a strong note.
Another part of the role is keeping the front end organized, clean, and running consistently throughout the day. With a steady flow of customers and changing priorities, the work stays active, making it a good fit for someone who enjoys variety and staying engaged in a fast‑paced environment.
Customer Interaction Skills:
Friendly, clear communication during checkout and customer assistance
Processing purchases accurately, including cash, card, and digital payments
Accuracy in scanning, pricing, produce codes, and order completion
Handling cash transactions, counting change, and balancing registers
Assisting with bagging, cart retrieval, stocking, and general front‑end upkeep
Problem Awareness:
Recognizing and addressing pricing, transaction, or customer service questions
Following company policies, register procedures, and checkout processes
Comfort managing changing tasks and customer flow throughout the shift
and working indoors and outdoors as needed
Must be 16 years of age or older (or 18 years of age or older, depending on local/state requirements)
Completion of company cashier or front-end training upon hire
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Prior customer service experience preferred but not required
