Front End SupervisorCompany: Jetro / Restaurant Depot Location: 135 Merrit Way, White Marsh, MD 21162 Job Type: Full-time Sector: Management Compensation: $16.50 - $17.05Job SummaryThe Produce Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the produce department, including inventory management, product quality, merchandising, and team performance. This role ensures that produce operations align with company standards, maintain high levels of product freshness, and support overall sales and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of the produce department to ensure product availability, quality, and presentationMaintain accurate inventory levels through proper stock control, rotation, and replenishment practicesEnsure all produce is handled, stored, and displayed in accordance with company and food safety standardsMonitor product quality and freshness, ensuring timely removal or disposition of unsellable itemsSupervise and support department staff to ensure adherence to company procedures and operational standardsCoordinate merchandising, signage, and product displays to support sales and customer engagementReview inventory trends, shrink, and discrepancies to identify and address areas of concernSupport receiving processes by ensuring incoming product is properly checked for quality and accuracyMaintain overall department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with applicable regulationsQualificationsPrevious experience in produce, grocery, retail, or warehouse operationsStrong understanding of inventory control, product rotation, and stock managementAbility to identify product quality issues and ensure proper handling standardsExperience leading or overseeing team operations in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsBasic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience managing produce or perishable inventoryFamiliarity with food safety standards and audit expectationsBackground in high-volume distribution or wholesale environmentsBenefits & PerksMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Coverage401(k) Retirement Plan with Employer MatchPaid Time Off (PTO) in accordance with company policySix (6) Paid Company HolidaysTuition Reimbursement Program (subject to eligibility and plan guidelines)Additional Voluntary Supplemental Benefits (may include life insurance, disability coverage, employee assistance programs, and other optional benefits)Competitive and Comprehensive Benefits Package Designed to Support You and Your FamilyAll benefits are subject to eligibility requirements and plan terms.
