Work today, get paid today!The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.63 based on direct and relevant experience.RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Front Office Associate II to join our team. As a Front Office Associate II, you will be responsible for providing services to patients and referring professionals by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting and registering patients in a cheerful, professional, and sincere manner. In addition, this role serves as a resource to the front office team and other departments, and completes special projects as assigned.This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week; Shifts are Mondays 9:00am - 5:30pm and Tuesday through Friday, 11:30am - 8:00pm.Essential Duties And Responsibilities:(60%) RegistrationGreet and checks-in patients scheduled for imaging services; processes payment as neededAnswer phones and handle calls in an efficient and friendly mannerField phone calls appropriately for Center Team MembersAct as liaison between imaging technologists and the patients waiting for exams, and relays messages regarding scanner status and other Clinic informationMaintain organization of the front office lobby area by straightening magazines, organizing coffee supplies and assisting with general office cleanupOrder office supplies as neededMaintain supply of patient information sheetsPush patient imaging via electronic interfacesComplete patient appointment confirmation calls and provide preparation instructions to patientsFax/scan reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested(15%) SchedulingArrange transportation, interpreters, and hotel accommodations for patients when appropriateEnter and submit patient exam ordersVerify patient exam orders match exam schedulesSchedule referrals and ensures proper authorizations are obtainedSchedule walk-in patientsProcess requests for image orders and CDs from both the referring physicians and patientsMaintain an up-to-date and accurate database of all current and potential referring physicians(15%) InsuranceVerify patient's insurance coveragePre-certify all patient exams with the patient's insurance companyObtain insurance authorizationsApply knowledge of insurance carriers (example Medicare) and procedures that require waivers to obtain pre-authorization, if needed, prior to patient appointmentsFacilitate Release of Information (ROI) requests for patients, referring offices, other medical facilities, attorneys & insurance companies following Company guidelines(5%) Team SupportFunction as a mentor/resource to the team and other departmentsAssist with the onboarding and training of new FOA team member hires, as applicableSupport process improvement initiatives to improve accuracy and patient experienceAssist with special projects as assigned(5%) Completes other tasks and projects as assignedRequired:High School Diploma, or equivalentTwo (2) years' Customer Service experienceOne (1) year experience in medical front office experience, with demonstrated ability to serve as a resource to others and identify process improvement opportunitiesProficient in using computer systems and typingWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Teams, ExcelPreferred:Medical terminology and office backgroundInsurance knowledgeBilingualRAYUS is committed to delivering clinical excellence in communities across the U.S., driven by our passion for and superior service to referring providers and patients.
