Job description

About Brew

Brew Watch Co. is an independent New York watch brand founded in 2015. We design retro-inspired chronographs and timing watches, originally built around espresso culture, and sell them direct to a global community of enthusiasts and through a small group of retail partners. We’re a lean team, we ship worldwide, and every watch that leaves our office has been checked by our team.

Increase your chances of an interview by reading the following overview of this role before making an application.

The role

You’ll work alongside our shipping and QC team to keep watches moving: receiving and inspecting new stock, packing and shipping orders, handling service, returns and exchanges, and preparing new packaging so orders are ready to go. This is hands-on, detail-driven work with physical product.

What you’ll do

Shipping and receiving

Pick, pack and ship customer and retail orders, including labels, carrier pickups and international paperwork.

Receive inbound shipments, check them against what was ordered, and log them accurately

Service, returns and exchanges.

Check in returned and service watches, inspect their condition, and log them.

Route each unit to restock, repair or replacement, and keep the service and returns area organized.

Work with our customer service team so every customer gets a fast, accurate update.

Quality control and packaging

Inspect watches for cosmetic and functional defects (dial, hands, case, crystal, crown and pusher action, movement, strap and buckle) using our QC checklist.

Fit straps, add accessories, and pack watches into new retail packaging with inserts, warranty cards and hang tags. xzgxqkn

Keep packaging and shipping supplies stocked and flag when anything runs low.

General

Keep accurate counts as units move from received to inspected to packed to shipped

Support launch weeks and the holiday season, when volume spikes

Keep the workspace clean and organized;

watches scratch easily and details matter

Who we’re looking for

Detail-obsessed: you notice the hairline scratch or misaligned hour-marker most people would miss

Careful at unit 200 just as at unit 1

Reliable: our schedule is built around delivery dates, so showing up as scheduled is non-negotiable

Organized, with simple records kept accurately (spreadsheets, Shopify or an inventory app)

Able to stand or sit for extended periods, handle small components, and lift packages up to 30 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation

Shipping, warehouse or retail stockroom experience is a plus;

an interest in watches or well-made objects is a bigger one. We’ll train you.

Schedule and details

20 to 25 hours per week, weekday shifts at our Hoboken office, a few minutes from the PATH

Some flexibility needed around launches and the holiday season

Start date: as soon as possible

$22 to $25 per hour, depending on experience

Path to full time as our volume grows
