Full-Time Afternoon Shift CustodialLocation: Operations DepartmentReports To: Supervisor of CustodialEffective Date: ImmediatePay Schedule: Per Collective Bargaining AgreementQualifications Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Job Summary: To perform essential custodial tasks and coordinate activities with staff to ensure that the buildings are safe, attractive, clean and an efficient place in which to learn and work.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Receives items delivered to buildingLoads and off-loads supplies and materials; unpacks materials and arranges for delivery or storageMaintain custodial equipmentOrganizes and maintains the custodial closet and stockroom locationsCompletes preventative maintenance and/or small repairs on related equipment and facilitiesMoves equipment, furniture, files, etc. as neededMaintains supplies in stockroom (restocking shelves); delivers supplies to the Offices and classroomArranges furniture in meeting/conference rooms according to Management system requestsParticipates in general maintenance of the campus grounds (lawn trimming, leaf raking, weeding, snow/ice removal, window washing, trash pick-up, etc.)Carries out building assignments, i.e., changing light bulbsProvides requested custodial support, i.e., sweeping, vacuuming, moving furniture, file cabinets, etc.Maintains working knowledge of access control, burglary prevention/safety systemsSupports building security (including opening and closing the building at designated times)Regular and predictable attendancePerforms other duties as assignedPhysical Demands:The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds in supplies which requires bending, stooping and lifting.The employee must be able to use a variety of instructional materials in the classroom.The employee must use hands and arms to manipulate objects.The employee must use keyboards, tools and other controls.The employee must sit and stand for long periods of time.The employee must have normal vision and hearing with or without aid.The employee must be able to move about assigned location during the day.Education and Experience:High School graduate or equivalentKnowledge and experience working with a variety of Custodial equipment and toolsKnowledge and experience working with a variety of equipment and toolsPossess good verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrating initiative, efficiency and timely follow through on responsibilitiesWork independently, achieve and maintain job productivityEvaluation: Job performance is evaluated in accordance with district guidelines.Terms of Employment: Contracted Days: Full time 12-month employeeApplication Procedure:Internal: Email a letter of interest to Ms. Martin at : Apply online at Until Filled
