Job description
Automotive MachinistPut your automotive machining skills to work! As an Automotive Machinist, you'll play an important role in delivering quality workmanship and helping customers get the parts and service they need. This hands-on position is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, problem-solving, and working with a variety of automotive machining equipment.You'll work as part of a knowledgeable shop team, completing machining and reconditioning work to customer specifications while maintaining a safe, efficient, and professional work environment.What You'll DoRecondition and machine a variety of automotive components, including cylinder heads and connecting rodsPerform or assist with crankshaft, valve, and flywheel grindingInstall valve seats, helicoils, sleeves, and valve guides according to customer specificationsOperate a variety of shop equipment, including drills, lathes, mills, and other machining toolsPerform hydraulic hose repairs and other miscellaneous shop services as neededInspect completed work to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to customer specificationsWork closely with customers and team members to understand job requirements and complete work accurately and efficientlyAssist other team members as needed to support daily shop and store operationsContribute to team sales goals and the overall success of the storeWhat We're Looking ForAt least one year of post-secondary technical training in Automotive MachiningMinimum of two years of automotive machining experienceStrong mechanical aptitude and attention to detailAbility to work independently while also contributing to a teamStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work professionally with customers, vendors, coworkers, and leadershipFamiliarity with automotive machine shop and store operating proceduresValid driver's license and acceptable driving recordWhat We OfferWe invest in our people and provide benefits that support you at work and at home.Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) with Company Match + Profit SharingPaid Time Off & Sick LeaveLife & Disability InsuranceEmployee Discount ProgramEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Ongoing Training & Career Development OpportunitiesReady to put your skills to work?
