Certified Medical AssistantShortened weekend hours! Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat-Sun 8am-4pm. Block scheduling 3x12's then 2x12's and 2x8's. Must be willing to work every other weekendAs part of our team, our Certified Medical Assistants work closely with our providers and patients to ensure quality and compassionate care. More specifically, our CMA's interview and triage patients, measure vital signs, document all information in patients charts and assist the Providers in exam rooms. Additionally, they maintain logs, keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, handle calls as appropriate, and support the overall patient need(s) as directed. This opportunity is for our East Windsor, NJ locationJob Duties and Responsibilities:Escort patients to exam rooms, interview patients, measure vital signs, including weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and document all information in patients' chartsAssist providers in exam rooms; give instructions to patients as instructed by the providersPerform certain procedures such as blood draw, EKG, etc.Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as requiredProvide feedback and answers to patient/provider/pharmacy callsMaintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, etc.)Must be willing to cross-train for patient registration when necessaryMust be available to work evenings and weekends, be willing to travel to other sites, willing to travel in inclement weatherWilling to become UDS, BAT, and/or DOT certified and performed related responsibilitiesMaintain all certifications required for the roleAll other duties as assigned by Practice Operations Manager or Practice AdministratorCompensation:Medical through Cigna (multiple tiers depending on coverage and cost desires)Vision and Dental through Principal, NJ Delta Dental & VSPPTO & NJ Sick Time401k through Voya, company match availability after 1 year of service and 1000 hours workedLife Insurance provided by the company 50kAccident, Cancer, Hospital, and Disability insurance are available through AflacAdditional voluntary benefits like short term disability insurance, cancer insurance, hospital insurance, critical illness insurance, supplemental life, etc. are also offered through AflacCritical Illness, Supplemental Life, and Accident insurance are available through PrincipalHourly range listed belowRequirements:Active BLS through AHACertification of successful completion of CMA education programActive CMA certification through NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCTWilling to consider new grads and RMAsAbility to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flowAbility to perform phlebotomy and administer injectionsAbility to maintain professionalism and provide quality, and compassionate care in a fast-paced, public environment
