We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our client's team on a one-year contract. This position offers flexibility, with the option to work 4-5 days per week and choose shifts that are 8-10 hours long. As a CT Technologist, you will play a crucial role in patient care, operating sophisticated imaging equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images used for diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities:
Operate Imaging Equipment: Operate head or body x-ray scanners to create computed axial tomography (CAT) scans.
Patient Preparation: Educate and prepare patients for their examinations.
Patient Care: Provide essential patient care for various procedures.
Medical History: Take patient medical histories before exams.
Positioning Patients: Position patients to demonstrate desired anatomy.
Technical Parameters: Set appropriate technical parameters to demonstrate anatomy and pathology accurately.
Patient Safety: Ensure the safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients.
Supervision: Work under the supervision of a board-certified radiologist while maintaining a high degree of independence and responsibility.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Technical Skills: Able to operate sophisticated computer equipment.
Interest in Science: Strong interest in scientific and technical knowledge.
Compassion: Able to interact compassionately and effectively with sick or injured patients.
Communication: Effective communication skills.
