Job Summary
HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is seeking a full‑time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dedicated team in Sun City Center, Florida.
Specialization
Emergency Medicine.
Qualifications
Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM).
Board certified in Primary Care with extensive Emergency Medicine experience.

Hospital Beds: 138
ED Volume: 22,000 patients annually
ED Beds: 12 + 4 Fast Track Beds
ED Coverage: 24‑hour physician coverage per day; 12‑hour APP coverage per day
Admission rate 30% (mostly geriatrics)
Sister Facility to the North – Brandon Regional North (Pediatrics, OB‑GYN transfers)
Sister Facility to the South – Blake Hospital (Trauma, both HCA hospitals)
Certified Stroke Center – Primary non‑intervention
24‑hour Radiology reads on all studies.
HCA Florida South Shore Hospital is a 138‑bed acute care hospital serving Sun City Center, Ruskin, Wimauma, Riverview, Apollo Beach, Gibsonton, and the surrounding areas. The facility employs 185 physicians and 550 staff.
The hospital is located just off I‑75 and recently completed a major expansion featuring a three‑story patient tower, private rooms, and state‑of‑the‑art ICUs.
