Fire Life & Safety Director (FLSD)The Fire Life & Safety Director (FLSD) is responsible for overseeing all fire and life safety operations within a residential property in Manhattan. This role ensures full compliance with FDNY regulations, internal emergency procedures, and building safety protocols. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, composed under pressure, and capable of leading emergency response efforts while maintaining a professional presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the designated Fire Life & Safety Director, ensuring compliance with all FDNY codes and regulationsRespond immediately to fire alarms, emergencies, and life safety incidents, coordinating response efforts as requiredMonitor and operate fire life safety systems, access control, CCTV, and alarm systemsConduct inspections of post areas, safety equipment, and security systems to ensure operational readinessReview daily memos, alerts, and security notifications to remain informed of building conditionsMaintain accurate daily logs, reports, and incident documentationCommunicate clearly with the Operations Desk, property management, and leadership regarding incidents or deficienciesMaintain a high level of professionalism, alertness, and situational awareness at all timesRequirements:Valid NYS Fire Life & Safety Director Certification (F-89 or equivalent) – RequiredValid NYS Security Guard License – RequiredMinimum 1 year of fire life safety or building security experienceStrong emergency response, leadership, and communication skillsAbility to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situationsAvailability to work the following schedule: Monday through Friday | 10:30 AM to 6:30 PMBenefits:Quick & Easy Online Application – Get started today!Weekly Pay – Enjoy the flexibility of weekly earnings.Competitive Benefits – We offer a range of benefits to fit your needs.Flexible Schedules – Work-life balance is important, and we're here to help.Medical, vision & dental for qualified FT employeesCompetitive 401K plan
