Full Time Floater - CustodianLocation: District-wide; Location may change day-to-day Monday - Friday, approx. 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm during the school year Summer Hours: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm 40 hours/week, 52 weeks/year Compensation: Starting at $18.00 per hour + Single BenefitsQualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredGood moral characterAbility to create and maintain good public relationsAbility to understand and communicate in EnglishAbility to learn equipment, materials and methods used in custodial workAbility to work without constant, direct supervisionAbility to perform manual tasks such as lifting and moving a minimum of 50 lbsExcellent attendance recordSuccessful completion of drug/fitness screening and criminal background checkDuties and Responsibilities:Clean assigned areas as follows:Sweep and vacuum rooms and hallsDust rooms and lockersMop bathroom floor, clean toilets and urinals and replenish paper suppliesClean whiteboards as necessaryClean doors and windowsClean entrywaysReport any needed repairs to custodial supervisorMaintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in his/her sectionPerform set ups and take downs for events and activitiesClean up after night activitiesAssist with snow removalPerform other duties as assignedDeadline for applications: Until FilledDistrict Vision: Our inclusive culture will inspire, empower and lead all learners to realize their full potential and make a positive difference in their future and community.Commitment: The Berkley School District is committed to keeping diversity, equity and inclusion at the forefront of its goal of creating an environment where all staff, students and community members feel a sense of belonging.Per School Safety Legislation, each individual, who is either employed full-time or part-time, or is assigned to regularly and continuously work under contract, shall be fingerprinted for the purpose of performing a criminal history background check.
