Paraprofessionals - K-12
Location: Lakewood, CO
Pay:
$18.45-$25.56 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time
Openings: Multiple Positions
Grade Levels: Kindergarten-12th Grade
Setting: Special Education and Classroom
Responsibilities
Reinforce instruction individually or in small groups.
Provide accommodations and modifications as directed by special education staff.
Monitor and document student behavior, academic progress, and IEP goals.
Support positive behavior using approved de-escalation and crisis prevention techniques.
Assist students with personal care and activities of daily living as needed.
Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements to Work as a Paraprofessional in Colorado High school diploma or equivalent; additional education may be preferred.
Meet applicable school district and Colorado Department of Education requirements for the assigned position.
Complete required background checks and fingerprint-based screening.
Meet any applicable training or qualification requirements for supporting students with disabilities.
Strong communication, teamwork, and classroom support skills.
Ability to follow individualized education programs (IEPs) and student behavior plans.
