We follow established standards of care and are dedicated to promoting mental wellness in the community. Our center is known for its commitment to evidence-based practices and for fostering supportive relationships, both within our team and with the individuals we serve.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that clinicians can effectively support school partnerships. The role will involve working closely with school personnel, including teachers and administrators, to create an integrated approach to student mental health. Although the position is remote, occasional travel to school sites and community events within Johnstown may be required for assessments, meetings, and workshops.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the mental health needs of students, providing diagnostic evaluations and formulating treatment plans tailored to individual cases.

Collaborate with the clinical team to evaluate the appropriateness of interventions and refer students to additional services or community resources when necessary.

Facilitate regular team meetings with school staff and clinical leadership to discuss ongoing cases, address potential issues, and uphold standards of practice.

Oversee the daily operations of behavioral health services within the school setting, assigning tasks to other therapists and ensuring compliance with relevant policies.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in accordance with state regulations and organizational guidelines.

Engage in quality assurance initiatives by providing insights into program effectiveness and participating in performance enhancement activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The LCSW will primarily serve students from diverse backgrounds who may be experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, or trauma. By implementing therapeutic strategies tailored to the adolescent developmental stage, the clinician will foster resilience and promote positive mental health outcomes in alignment with school support systems.

Qualifications

A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required, along with a current license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with families, school personnel, and other health care professionals.

A minimum of three years of clinical experience in diagnosing and treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions is required.

Experience in a school-based or educational setting is strongly preferred, along with familiarity in engaging with multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge of community resources and self-help organizations available to families is beneficial.
