Aura Care Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team in a remote outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities
Advocate for clients by helping them access vital community resources, social services, and support networks that effectively enhance their quality of life.
Provide immediate support and crisis intervention as needed, ensuring client safety and stability during periods of emotional distress.
Maintain precise and confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment plans that comply with all legal and ethical standards.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
Educate clients on essential coping strategies, effective communication techniques, and self-care methods to empower them in managing their mental health effectively.
Participate in community outreach initiatives to cultivate and strengthen referral resources and community partnerships that serve our clientele.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The LCSW will primarily work with individuals undergoing treatment at our detox center, which includes clients struggling with substance use disorders, mental health issues, and various psychosocial problems. An empathetic and client-centered approach is essential, as our clients come from diverse backgrounds and require tailored strategies to aid their recovery journeys.
Qualifications
Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas is required.
A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field is mandatory.
A minimum of four years of relevant experience in social work or a related field is essential.
Prior experience in an outpatient mental health setting is preferred, particularly in addiction treatment or crisis intervention.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are critical for building rapport with clients and collaborating with a team.
Strong dedication to ethical, confidential therapeutic practices is required.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience in a detox or addiction treatment facility is highly desirable.
Familiarity with telehealth technologies and electronic health record systems is a plus.
Background in community engagement or outreach programs is beneficial.
