Position Overview
Insight Therapies & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time position. This role primarily involves providing mental health support to students in a remote school-based setting. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments for students to identify emotional and behavioral challenges.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of each student.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with organizational policies and state regulations.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure comprehensive care and support for students.
Provide ongoing education and support to students and their families about mental health resources and wellness strategies.
Stay abreast of current research and advancements in mental health therapy to continuously enhance service delivery.
Participate in regular supervision and professional development sessions to foster continuous learning.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse group of students ranging from elementary to high school age, addressing a wide array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma-related concerns. Your expertise will be vital in creating a supportive environment that encourages open dialogue about mental health, thus contributing to the emotional well-being and academic success of the students you serve.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
A valid LCSW license in the state of New York.
Proficiency in solution-based psychotherapy interventions.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and a multidisciplinary team.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in addressing multifaceted mental health challenges.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with school-aged children and adolescents in a therapeutic capacity.
Familiarity with educational systems and the challenges faced by students in a school environment.
Previous experience utilizing electronic health record systems for clinical documentation.
