Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Deliver various therapeutic interventions, including evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
Facilitate group therapy sessions, family counseling, and individual therapy, ensuring that each session promotes client engagement and therapeutic progress.
Collaborate with a diverse clinical team to share insights and ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay informed about the latest advancements in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse population, including individuals battling depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance misuse. Our clients come from various backgrounds and age groups, so your ability to connect with people from all walks of life is essential. The support you provide directly impacts their mental health journey and overall well-being, reinforcing the significance of your role within the organization.
Qualifications
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
A minimum of two years of previous counseling experience, preferably in a clinical context.
A strong understanding of psychological principles, legal and ethical standards in mental health practice.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively build rapport with clients.
Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with populations dealing with family dynamics, trauma, and substance use disorders.
Specialization in areas such as family therapy or couples therapy is highly desirable.
Proven ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet diverse client needs.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary range between $70,000 and $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise. Additional compensation opportunities may be available based on performance. We also provide a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
