Work Environment
This position is entirely remote, allowing you to deliver services from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a flexible work-life balance. You will engage with clients via secure video consultations, utilizing our comprehensive therapist portal, which is tailored to your licensure requirements and expertise. Key Responsibilities
Conduct individual counseling sessions via telehealth to promote mental health improvement through empathetic engagement.
Assist clients in articulating their feelings and experiences, fostering self-awareness and deeper insights into their emotional wellbeing.
Act as a dedicated advocate for clients, collaborating with them to define personal goals and pathways to achieving them.
Utilize your clinical expertise to assess mental health conditions, develop, and implement solution-oriented treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
Maintain accurate client records and documentation in compliance with telehealth regulations and standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will be working primarily with a pre-screened client demographic characterized by stability and low acuity needs. This ensures that your practice will involve providing supportive therapy rather than crisis intervention, allowing you to cultivate deeper therapeutic relationships and focus on effective treatment strategies.
Qualifications
Education:
A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
Licensing: An independent license (such as LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW) issued by the state board is necessary;
provisional or limited licenses are not accepted.
Exceptional ability to conduct professional assessments and devise treatment strategies based on clinical guidelines.
Strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic approach to client interactions.
Proficiency in using digital platforms for therapy, including video chat software and electronic health records.
Preferred Experience
Experience with diverse client populations and an understanding of culturally sensitive therapy practices.
Familiarity with telehealth modalities and best practices within remote mental health counseling.
Previous experience in a full-time counseling role, preferably within a telehealth setting, will be considered an asset.
