Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health issues to develop an accurate understanding of their individual challenges.
Design and implement personalized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic techniques tailored to each client's unique needs.
Utilize various evidence-based counseling methodologies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), to guide therapeutic sessions effectively.
Maintain ongoing communication with clients to monitor progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary.
Remain informed on the latest research and developments in mental health to ensure the highest standard of care is provided.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, referring clients to additional care services as appropriate, including psychiatry and group therapy options.
Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere during sessions to encourage honesty and openness from clients.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and other mental health disorders. Your ability to empathize and connect with clients from varied backgrounds will be essential in providing effective counseling and fostering therapeutic relationships.
Qualifications
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Current state licensure (LMHC) is required for practice.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients.
Demonstrated capacity to cultivate trust and rapport with clients, enabling deep exploration of personal issues.
Commitment to providing tailored treatment that respects the individuality of each patient.
Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
Preferred Experience
Experience in outpatient counseling, particularly in a remote setting.
Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
Previous experience working within a collaborative healthcare team.
Ongoing professional development or training in specialized therapeutic modalities.
