Position Overview
Grace Place Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing therapeutic services to clients facing various mental health challenges. You will engage in assessment, planning, and execution of treatment plans using evidence-based practices tailored to individual or group needs. Work Environment
This position offers a unique remote work environment geared towards flexibility while maintaining strong connections with team members and clients through online platforms. Although primarily remote, you will occasionally have the opportunity to engage in face-to-face consultations at our outpatient office in Wichita, Kansas. Our supportive virtual setup allows for collaboration with fellow therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a community-focused approach to client care.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments that encompass diagnostic evaluations to understand clients' mental health concerns and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Provide therapy for individuals, families, and groups through various evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
Utilize crisis intervention techniques to support clients undergoing acute mental health crises, ensuring their safety and stabilizing their condition.
Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and psychological assessments, adhering strictly to ethical and legal standards.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams comprising psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate the best care for each client.
Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, coping strategies, and resources available in the community.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay updated on the latest therapeutic best practices and methodologies.
Patient Population / Client Focus
At Grace Place Counseling Center, you will serve a diverse client base that includes children, adolescents, adults, and families grappling with various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other life stressors. Your approach will be client-centered, ensuring each individual receives tailored support that addresses their unique circumstances and promotes a path toward recovery.
Qualifications
Possession of an active and valid license to practice as a Mental Health Therapist in Kansas (LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C).
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
Demonstrated strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, engaging directly with clients.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients and collaborating with team members.
Ability to operate independently while being an effective team player.
Dedication to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards in mental health practice.
Preferred Experience
Experience in outpatient settings is highly desirable, offering insight into a variety of therapeutic methodologies and client interactions.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and record-keeping.
Compensation and Benefits
Our organization offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
