Full-Time Night Custodian Private SchoolServiceFM is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Full-Time Night Custodian to support a private school campus in the Green Hills area of Nashville. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment during evening hours, ensuring classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas are properly cleaned and ready for the next day. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in delivering high-quality custodial work in an educational setting.Responsibilities:Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, dusting, mopping (wet/dry), restroom and cafeteria cleaning, trash removal, and window and door cleaningMaintain the cleanliness of classrooms, hallways, offices, gyms, cafeterias, and other common areasRemove debris from grounds and empty interior and exterior trash binsSet up and clean up for events, including moving and arranging furniture as neededPerform floor and carpet maintenance throughout the year as needed, including routine cleaning, stripping, waxing, buffing, extraction, and deep cleaning during scheduled summer and other school breaksSecure the building at the end of the shift and report any maintenance or safety concernsWork Schedule:Monday – Friday: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM (with a 30-minute unpaid meal break)Total Hours: 40 hours per weekAdditional Hours: Occasional overtime or weekend shifts may be required to support special events or cover absencesRequirements:Qualifications & Physical Requirements:Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferredAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionReliable attendance and punctuality are essentialPhysically capable of performing repetitive tasks, including lifting to 50 lbs, bending, walking, and standing for extended periodsWillingness to work evening hours and occasional weekends for special eventsStrong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environmentAbility to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently and thoroughlyMust successfully pass a criminal background check and fingerprint screening because this position services schools and other facilities where background clearance is required.Must be able to work in a smoke-free environmentBasic ability to track time and communicate using a smartphone or timekeeping deviceCompany Benefits (Eligibility begins after 60 days of employment for employees working at least 30 hours per week):Medical Insurance with a Health Savings Account (HSA)Dental and Vision CoverageLife Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D)Optional Short-Term Disability and Supplemental Life InsuranceSupplemental Gap Insurance (Accident, Hospital, and Critical Illness coverage)Paid Time Off (PTO)Additional employee perksCompany Description:ServiceFM LLC (SFM) is a leading facility management company that has proudly served non-profit organizations across Middle Tennessee since 1998.
