Full-Time Nurse Practitioner
Inpatient Diabetes & Glycemic Management (Non-ICU)
Hospital-Based | Good Samaritan University Hospital | West Islip, NY | Block Schedule
GlyCare is a hospital-based group practice specializing in inpatient diabetes and glycemic management. Our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants deliver protocol-driven, evidence-based care to hospitalized adults on Med-Surg and Step-Down units (non-ICU), with endocrinology support.

Predictable block schedules
Full-Time: Mon–Wed + every other weekend OR Wed–Fri + opposite weekends ~16 shifts/month
Compensation: $124,800 - $135,000

Strong mentorship and ongoing education via GlyCare University, on campus, and virtual chart review
What You’ll Do:
Provide consultative inpatient diabetes/glycemic management (non-ICU)
Independently round using established protocols
Manage ~25 patients/day
Participate in rotating phone-only after-hours call
Qualifications:
Active NY NP license
NP: FNP, AGNP, or ACNP
Inpatient experience required
EMR proficiency
New grads welcome
DEA not required
Minimum 1-year contract commitment
