Job Summary
Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible OB/GYN Physician to join our OB Hospitalist team. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and midwives dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. The role requires covering a minimum of 144 hours per month, including 7 to 9‑hour night shifts (5 p‑7 a) and one to two 24‑hour weekend call shifts (8 a‑8 a) per month at Wellstar MCG Hospital in Augusta, GA.
Key Responsibilities
Manage labor and delivery for assigned and unassigned patients
Shifts and deliveries at Wellstar MCG
Collaborate with a team of physicians, midwives, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Help oversee the OB ED
Collaborate with residents
Manage OB and GYN emergencies
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Georgia
3+ years of experience
