Job description
Office ClerkThe Law Offices of Hanna, Brophy, MacLean, McAleer & Jensen, LLP was established over 80 years ago and provides Workers' Compensation Defense legal services to employers and insurance companies throughout California. The Office Clerk position supports the Attorneys and Legal Assistants in a variety of legal and administrative functions relating to Workers' Compensation law.Responsibilities:Maintain files and records so they remain updated and easily accessibleSort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (envelopes, packages, etc.)Answer the phone to take messages or redirect calls to appropriate colleaguesUtilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc.Data entry and document processingSorting legal documentsPerform other office duties as assignedSkills:Proven experience as office clerk or other clerical positionWorking knowledge of office devices and processesAttention to detailIntegrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and privacyA fast typistKnowledge of MS OfficeExcellent communication skillsStrong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilitiesWork independentlyHigh school diplomaBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceVision insurancePaid time offJob Type: Full-TimeSchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM with a 1 hour lunchAbility to commute/relocate: Oakland, CA 94607; Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience: Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: In-Office
