Job description
Operating Room TechnicianFull Time Operating Room Technician provides essential support during surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. The role ensures sterile field integrity, assists with instrument management, and contributes to patient safety and surgical team efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain sterile field per surgeon preferenceArrange, organize, and inventory sterile instruments, equipment, and suppliesPass instruments and equipment to the surgical team in the prescribed mannerPerform surgical hand scrubbing, gowning, and gloving proceduresAssist with patient preparation, positioning, and drapingConduct sponge, needle, and instrument counts to ensure patient safetyIdentify, preserve, and prepare operative specimens for analysisDispose of sharps, needles, solutions, trash, and linen properlyAssist with transferring patients safely from operating table to stretcherClean and wash surgical instruments for sterilizationPerform required daily equipment and sterilization checks, including Bowie-Dick testAdjust surgical lights and assist with operating room setup
