Optometrist (OD)
Great opportunity for an optometrist to join a full scopeprivate practicein the suburbs of Portland, Maine - with a schedule and caseload that respect your time. Portland regularly ranks among the best small cities in the country - a walkable, charming Old Port, a food and coffee scene that rivals cities twice its size, and some of the best seafood around. You’re minutes from the coast and under two hours from the mountains, with all four seasons in full swing. Position Highlights:
Schedule: Monday-Friday, no evenings or weekends, plus a full hour for lunch
Patient mix: ~70% medical / 30% comprehensive
Pace: Averaging 20 patients/day, occasional urgent add-on
Support: Techs handle pre-testing, tonometry, and medical history
$15,000 sign-on bonus

Responsibilities of the Optometrist (OD)
Perform comprehensive eye health and vision examinations
Diagnose disease and vision disorders
Counsel patients regarding their vision needs
Requirements of the Optometrist (OD)
Doctor of Optometry degree (OD)
License to practice in the state of ME
Excellent clinical and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a team environment
