Position Overview
Caring Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist to become an integral part of our rehabilitation team located in the Bronx, New York. Work Environment
Located in the heart of the Bronx, our facility offers a collaborative and dynamic atmosphere where physical therapists work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists. This onsite role involves direct patient interaction in a well-equipped rehabilitation environment. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, allowing for a structured work schedule, though occasional flexibility may be necessary to meet patient needs and support our clinic operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients aimed at improving mobility, strength, and overall functionality.
Collaborate closely with patients to guide them through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to promote physical well-being and achieve pain relief.
Educate patients on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and establish home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery.
Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under supervision, ensuring the highest quality of care.
Monitor and document patient progress by tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capacities.
Prepare treatment areas, maintain organized records, and ensure all equipment and supplies are available for sessions.
Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, sharing insights to optimize patient outcomes and coordinate care effectively.
Provide emotional support and motivation to patients, creating a positive and encouraging rehabilitation environment.
Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring patient confidentiality and respect for their rights throughout the treatment process.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Physical Therapist at Caring Physical Therapy, you will work with a diverse patient demographic that includes individuals recovering from surgeries, seniors dealing with age-related issues, athletes rehabilitating from sports injuries, and children needing specialized physical therapy. Our focus is on understanding the unique needs of each patient and delivering tailored interventions that promote effective recovery journeys.
QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and team members.
Commitment to patient-centered care, along with a passion for helping others improve their quality of life.
Preferred ExperienceA minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Physical Therapist in a clinical or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not required.
Experience with multiple areas of rehabilitation including orthopedic, neurological, or sports rehabilitation will be advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
