Job description
We are seeking a compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the clinical team and provide comprehensive medical and psychiatric care for patients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, managing withdrawal symptoms, prescribing medications, evaluating medication effectiveness, assessing suicide and harm risk using validated tools, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Additional duties involve documenting in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, participating in on-call duties, and supporting treatment planning and quality improvement initiatives in partnership with the Medical Director.
Qualifications include a master's degree or higher in nursing or related field, licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, DEA certification for controlled substances, experience in addiction medicine preferred, and familiarity with healthcare standards like JCAHO and ASAM criteria. Strong communication skills and self-motivation are essential.
