Job Summary and Responsibilities
nEssential Function
nnnAdministering therapy modalities which include, but are not limited to, Hand held Nebulizer (HHN), HHN viametered dose inhaler (HHN/MDI), Intrapulmonary Percussive Ventilation (IPV), Chest Physical Therapy (CPT),Pentamidine therapy.

nnMedication administration may be included during these therapy modalities
n
nnAdministering medical gas therapy including oxygen and Helium-Oxygen Therapy (HeO2).
n
nnPerforming ventilation therapies, including maintenance and management of life support systems. Thesetherapies are comprised of non-invasive and invasive ventilation therapies, as well as transport of ventilatorpatients to diagnostic procedures

nnPerforms physiological monitoring and diagnostic testing including, ABG puncture, bronchoscopy assistance,pulmonary function testing, bedside PFT's, metabolic monitoring, apnea monitoring, transcutaneous monitoring,capnography, and pulse oximetry and sleep apnea assessment.
n
nnPerforms specialized procedures which including but are not limited to, CPR, bronchial lavage, transport,cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, artificial and tracheostomy airway care, and body mechanics/ambulation.

nLicenses/Certifications
nRequired
nRespiratory Care Practitioner: TX (RESP-LIC:TX)
nRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
nBasic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) within 14 days
nAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months

nSt. Luke's Health - Patients Medical Center provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms, and offers a range of primary and specialized services-wound care, general surgery, gastroenterology, occupational health, heart and vascular, women's services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehab services, and sleep disorders.
nPay Range
n$34.00/ $56.10 hourly
