Position Overview
The South Coast Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team on a full-time remote basis. Work Environment
This position is fully remote, operating within the realm of telehealth. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings for clients to identify their mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans based on their individual circumstances.
Design and implement personalized treatment strategies and therapeutic interventions, utilizing evidence-based practices to address various mental health disorders.
Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, where you will foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages openness and trust.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care strategies and cohesive support for clients.
Educate and support clients' families, helping them to understand mental health challenges and the recovery process, while encouraging their active involvement.
Maintain meticulous and confidential progress notes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards in mental health documentation.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clinic serves a diverse population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing a spectrum of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will have the opportunity to work with clients from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, promoting cultural competence in your therapeutic approach. Your role will be pivotal in supporting clients’ journeys toward emotional wellness and improved quality of life.
Qualifications
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
A current and valid LMHC license in New York State.
At least two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling is desired.
Strong foundation in mental health best practices and evidence-based therapies for diverse mental health issues.
Excellent therapeutic and counseling skills, demonstrating the ability to build rapport and encourage client engagement.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, essential for working within a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Preferred Experience
Advanced training or certifications in specialized therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.
Experience working in a telehealth environment, utilizing virtual platforms for client sessions.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance productivity and maintain accurate client information.
Compensation and Benefits
South Coast Psychotherapy Center offers an attractive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, you will benefit from a robust package that could include:
