Job description
Role Overview: Provides direct patient care in a Medical Surgical unit, utilizing the nursing process to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes, prioritizes patient wellness, and models proficiency through precepting new staff. Supports specialty education and competency validation with clinical educators.
Qualifications and Skills: Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN licensure, and at least 6 months of RN experience. BLS certification is mandatory. Preference for a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Strong clinical skills in acute care settings with moderate to high patient acuity
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to an innovative environment
Commitment to safety, quality, and professional growth
Key Responsibilities: Deliver top-of-scope nursing care, support evidence-based practices, contribute to safe and effective patient care, and participate in ongoing education and specialty training to maintain competency.
