The company provides full-service security solutions for homes and businesses, including security officer services, smart home automation, burglar and fire alarms, access control, security cameras, alarm monitoring, investigative services, and background checks.Job Skills / Requirements$18.00 per hour40 hours per week - set schedule!Shifts: Monday through Thursday 2:00 PM - 8:00 PMFriday and Saturday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Sundays off major holidays offLocation: WausauJob Summary: The Security Officer is responsible for conducting routine patrols throughout the public facility to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of patrons, staff, and property. This role requires maintaining a friendly yet authoritative presence that promotes a welcoming environment while upholding facility policies and rules. The officer must respond calmly and professionally to rule violations, disturbances, or safety concerns, including situations that may be stressful or high-pressure. Strong communication, sound judgment, and conflict-resolution skills are essential, as the officer is expected to de-escalate situations respectfully, enforce facility regulations consistently, and provide assistance or guidance to patrons as needed.Minimum requirements:Pass background checkMust pass on-site drug test at time of hireMust be 18 years of age or olderMust possess the values important to Per Mar Security – integrity, communication, excellent service, and accountability.Strong attention to detailMust be able to be professional in all settings, have open communication with Operations Manager.Have reliable transportationStrong attention to detailMust be responsible and dependableMust be willing to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. Must not have any felonies.Must be able to obtain a DSPS Private Security Person license.Essential duties & responsibilities:Conduct foot patrolsMust be able to handle de-escalation with patrons in a professional manner when needed.Support staff on premises with any conflicts with patrons violating rules and regulations.Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rulesThoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and securityWarn violators of premise rules and regulationsAddress persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.Report any facility issues.Request emergency personnel for high-risk situations when applicable.Education Requirements (All)High School Diploma/GEDCertification Requirements (All)Private Security LicenseAdditional Information / BenefitsBenefits: Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, 401K/403b PlanThis job reports to the Operations ManagerThis is a full-time position 1st shift, 2nd shift, weekends.Travel is not requiredNumber of openings for this position: 1
