Role Description The Manager role at Tamiami Fitness is a full-time, on-site position based in Miami, FL. The Manager oversees daily operations of the fitness center, including staffing, scheduling, and ensuring a high standard of facility cleanliness and safety. This role involves supervising team members, providing coaching and feedback, and supporting their professional development. The Manager monitors membership growth and retention, handles member concerns, and ensures an excellent customer experience. Additional responsibilities include managing budgets, tracking performance metrics, coordinating marketing or promotional activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including supervising staff, resolving conflicts, and motivating a diverse team.
Strong customer service and communication abilities, with experience handling member inquiries, feedback, and issue resolution in a professional manner.
Organizational and operational management skills, such as scheduling, inventory oversight, and maintaining facility standards.
Basic business and administrative skills, including budgeting, reporting, and using software tools for membership or operations management.
Experience in fitness, wellness, or hospitality environments is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site full time in Miami, FL, with flexibility for peak hours, evenings, or weekends as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent required;
an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, sports management, or a related field is a plus.
