Job description
You're the brains behind our work.
nYou're ready to bring your knowledge from the classroom to the boardroom - and Citi wants to help you get there! Citi's Global Functions business division is looking for driven Associates to join the Corporate Finance team in the US. Our Financial Management Associate (FMA) rotational program is designed to accelerate your career by giving you exposure to numerous roles across Corporate Finance, helping you discover your best-fit path at Citi. Citi offers significant opportunities for career growth and internal mobility.
nWe provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed.
nThe FMA Program is a global leadership development program for Masters and MBA graduates, built to create a pipeline of future Corporate Finance leaders across disciplines including Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, and business-aligned Chief Finance Offices. This 24-month program is structured around three 8-month rotations, giving you deep, meaningful exposure while working closely with senior managers to build real leadership capability. Rotations will be dependent on business needs and program availability. Upon successful completion, FMAs may be considered for opportunities within Citi Finance. As an FMA, you'll help drive Citi Finance's 4 priorities: champion financial performance & strategic execution, generate value & optimize resources, accelerate finance transformation & controls, and develop our people & culture - all while enjoying:
nnnSenior Access - Exposure to Citi's senior Corporate Finance leaders who guide your growth
n
nnGlobal Reach - Build a network of relationships across the global Citi Finance community
n
nnLeadership - Sharpen your management skills through rotational responsibility
n
nnResponsibility - High impact work aligned with Citi's growth strategy
n
nnEmpowerment - FMAs are challenged to become involved in the fast-paced analytical and dynamic financial environment
n
n nYour time here will look something like this...
nYou'll kick things off with an energizing "Welcome Week" and comprehensive global training program starting in July. This is an opportunity to network with Citi's finance leadership and fellow FMAs - followed by an intensive curriculum covering accounting, modeling, technical and soft skills (presentation, communication, leadership), plus deep-dives into Citi's major businesses and Corporate Finance disciplines. From there, you'll roll straight into your first of three 8-month rotations, building both breadth and depth across Corporate Finance.
nWe want to hear from you if...
nnnYou are currently pursuing an MBA or Master's degree in Accounting, Financial Strategy, Finance, Economics, or other related fields
n
nnYou're excited about building a career in Corporate Finance
n
nnYou bring at least 3 years of significant, related full-time professional work experience
n
nnYou're graduating between December 2026 - June 2027
n
nnYou won't require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or at time of hire
n
nnProfessional certifications such as CPA, CFA, FRM, or multilingual capabilities are considered a plus, but are not required
n
n nWho we think will be a great fit...
nWe're excited to meet motivated, globally minded MBA and MA graduates with an innovative outlook on business who bring:
nnnA strategic, analytical mindset with a global perspective and a genuine passion for driving Citi Finance's 4 Pillars.
n
nnInitiative, creativity, and professional maturity, paired with resiliency and a growth mindset
n
nnA sense of urgency, excellent judgment, and the confidence to step outside your comfort zone
n
nnStrong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to build lasting business relationships and turn complex financial insights into clear, compelling stories
n
nnA knack for process improvement - including technology-driven automation and optimization
n
