Fund Controller
Full-Time | Hybrid
Location: Downtown Boston, MA
Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000
Position Overview
CFS has partnered with an investment management firm in seeking an experienced Fund Controller to join their finance and operations team. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing fund accounting, operational processes, financial reporting, and third-party service provider relationships across a diverse portfolio of investment vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee fund accounting, NAV reporting, financial statements, and audit coordination.
Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors, banks, and other service providers.
Support valuation processes and assist with regulatory reporting requirements.
Partner with investment, operations, and investor relations teams on ongoing fund activities.
Assist with budgeting, cash management, and treasury-related functions.
Support new fund launches and operational improvement initiatives.
Ensure investor reporting and other key deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
8+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, asset management, or public accounting.
Strong understanding of partnership accounting and investment fund structures.
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
Excellent communication, organization, and project management skills.
Experience working with third-party administrators and external service providers.
