Job description
Description
Fusion Therapy Center is seeking a Occupational Therapist who genuinely enjoys working independently in the community and wants travel-based therapy to be the primary focus of their position.
This role provides occupational therapy at partner daycares, preschools, schools, and other community locations throughout Northwest Arkansas through Fusion’s mobile therapy program.
This is a travel-focused position. While in-clinic patients may occasionally be used to help bridge openings, build the clinician’s caseload, or maintain productive hours, the long‑term intent of this role is to develop and maintain a primarily travel‑based caseload.
As part of your total rewards, we are pleased to offer a competitive sign‑on bonus. We are looking for a clinician who enjoys variety, autonomy, relationship‑building with community partners, and providing high‑quality care outside of a traditional clinic setting.
Our Mission: To empower families and enhance the lives of children through holistic, evidence‑based therapy services.
Why join Fusion?
At Fusion Therapy Center, we believe in rewarding your time, dedication, and clinical excellence. Our compensation model values your contributions while providing flexibility, professional growth, and administrative support.
This position may be especially appealing to a clinician who enjoys:
Getting out of the clinic and working within the community
Building relationships with schools, daycares, families, and community partners
Having independence throughout the workday
Working with children in their natural environments
Managing a mobile caseload with support from a dedicated scheduling and leadership team
Variety in their daily routine rather than remaining in one clinical setting
Employment Structure
You will be hired as a W‑2 employee, with payroll taxes handled by Fusion and access to applicable employee benefits.
Clinicians are compensated at a competitive hourly rate for billable services, providing transparency and alignment between clinical productivity and compensation.
What Your Schedule May Look Like
Your primary caseload will consist of patients seen at assigned daycares, preschools, schools, and community partner locations.
Fusion coordinates travel routes and patient schedules with the goal of minimizing unnecessary drive time and creating efficient geographic groupings.
Your schedule may include:
Traveling between assigned community locations
Treating multiple patients at the same school or daycare when possible
Completing documentation between sessions or during designated administrative time
Communicating with families, caregivers, teachers, and the Fusion clinical team
Participating in team meetings and clinical collaboration
Providing occasional in‑clinic treatment when needed to bridge openings or support caseload development
Candidates should apply with the expectation that travel therapy will be the primary responsibility of this position.
Benefits
Competitive pay based on billable hours
Mileage reimbursement for eligible travel
Travel stipend for travel between assigned sites
Flexible work schedule
Continuing education reimbursement based on hours worked
Medical, dental, and vision insurance for eligible full‑time staff

401(k): Employer‑supported retirement savings
Professional Development
CEU reimbursement based on hours worked
90‑day mentorship and onboarding program
Collaboration with experienced pediatric clinicians
Career pathways in mentorship, leadership, specialty clinical areas, and Fusion’s mobile therapy program
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Evaluate pediatric patients to determine eligibility for occupational therapy services
Develop individualized plans of care based on patient needs and goals
Deliver therapy in community settings including daycares, preschools, and schools
Adapt treatment to the child’s natural environment
Educate and collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and community partners
Complete documentation accurately and within required timelines
Maintain communication with Fusion's scheduling, clinical, and administrative teams
Manage travel between assigned locations responsibly and efficiently
Maintain a reliable schedule and demonstrate ownership of assigned patients and community relationships
Requirements:
Graduate degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
Current Arkansas OT license or anticipated licensure date
Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
Ability to work independently while remaining connected to a collaborative clinical team
Strong organization and time‑management skills
Reliability and comfort managing a travel‑based workday
Ability and willingness to drive between assigned community locations
Dependable transportation
Knowledge of OT principles, early childhood development, and sensory integration
Familiarity with Medicaid and private insurance documentation requirements preferred
Who Will Thrive in This Position?
This position is best suited for an OT who actively wants a mobile caseload, rather than someone who is simply willing to travel occasionally.
You may be a great fit if you enjoy being out in the community, appreciate independence, can organize your day across multiple locations, and like developing relationships with the schools and childcare centers where your patients spend their time.
Fusion provides the clinical, administrative, and scheduling support behind you while giving you the autonomy to make a meaningful impact where children live, learn, and play.
