Job description
Sign MakerHorizon Sign Company is looking for an experienced Sign Maker to join our team. The Sign Maker is a professional, solution-oriented individual who pays attention to detail, works well in a fast-paced team environment, and can efficiently manage many projects at once. We are looking for a positive individual with a growth mindset.Responsibilities:Production of various types of signs, including applying vinyl, laminating, cutting, painting, cleaning, etc.Estimate cost and time for sign and graphics projects, and providing clients with formal quotes for proposed workConsult with clients, including answering phones, emails, and online queriesConduct site surveys for new leads to gather and document all required details for fabrication, permitting, and installationCoordinate with graphic design team to generate mockups and proofs for clientsPerform quality assurance measures, pre- and post-productionAbility to assist with sign and graphics installations, as neededMonitor inventory, to include tracking, ordering, and storageMaintain cleanliness and organization of production areas, storage spaces, and company vehiclePerform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs, as neededEstablish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, support departments, suppliers, etc.Accurately track electronic and paper records related to jobsLearn new technologies, skills, and techniques for continuous self-improvementFollow all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codesPerform other duties, as assignedQualifications:5+ years of experience as a professional sign makerStrong communication and organization skillsLarge format digital printing experience (HP Latex printing, roll-to-roll Laminator, Graphtec plotter)Basic design experience preferredExpertise in using Adobe Design tool suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)Experience with RIP software (Onyx and Versaworks preferred)Valid Driver's LicenseAble to work well under pressure to output high volume, high-quality workAble to work outdoors in various weather conditions for long periods of timeAble to lift 75 or more poundsMust have the flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrateAble to use light power equipmentAdditional Preferred Qualifications:Laser cutting/engraving or router experienceFlatbed printer operating experienceVehicle wrap installationCertified installation professional (3M, Avery, etc.)Knowledgeable in color managementJob Type:Position: Full-time (8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday)Pay: (commensurate with experience)Benefits: Health insurance, paid vacation, paid personal daysWork Location: Office in Brentwood.
