Neonatology Nurse Practitioner Job
Gastonia, North Carolina – Neonatology Nurse Practitioner
Start Date: ASAP Position: Full-Time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Facility: Level III NICU
Position Overview
Join a well-established Level III NICU team in Gastonia, NC.
16-bed NICU featuring innovative single-room NICU and mother-baby care designed around a family-centered approach.
Work alongside 2 neonatologists and 5–6 NNPs serving families throughout Gaston County and surrounding areas.
Approximately 320 NICU admissions and 1,900 births annually.
Average daily NICU census of approximately 10 patients.
Provide care in the Level III NICU and assist with coverage in the newborn nursery.
NNPs provide approximately 20 hours/day of shift coverage.
Neonatologists provide in-house daytime coverage and home call at night.
Requirements
Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
Active North Carolina APRN license.
Minimum 2 years of current NNP experience.
Active DEA for North Carolina.
APRN National Specialty Certification – Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications cannot be accepted.
