Gastroenterologist/Advanced Endoscopist – Danbury, Connecticut
Danbury Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, seeks a full‑time Gastroenterologist/Advanced Endoscopist. The role includes both outpatient practice and inpatient coverage, with potential faculty appointment.
Compensation: $75,000 sign‑on bonus, retention package, relocation allowance, competitive base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues.
Board certified/eligible gastroenterology physician
4th year Advanced Endoscopy training or equivalent experience
New or recent graduates, including 2024 advanced endoscopy graduates, are encouraged to apply
Ready to collaborate within a collegial team of 17 physicians and 11 advanced practitioners
Responsibilities include outpatient gastroenterology/endoscopy procedures and inpatient coverage.
Danbury Hospital is a not‑for‑profit community hospital founded in 1885, with 371 beds, a Level II Trauma Center and over 70,000 ED visits annually. It serves a broad regional population and is affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean and Yale School of Medicine.
Location: Danbury, Connecticut – approximately 60 miles northeast of New York City, offering proximity to urban centers and recreational opportunities.
Eligible employees may qualify for forgiveness of certain federal student loans under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
